Salvador Arellano, 83
San Luis-Salvador Arellano, 83 died peacefully on May
11, 2008 at the San Luis Care Center in Alamosa
surrounded by many of his loving relatives. He was born
to Jacobo and Delfina Arellano on April 25, 1925 in
Amalia, New Mexico.
He was an honorary member of the RCCLA of Costilla,
NM. His hobbies included watching wrestling, ranching,
fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife Cordy, of San Luis, two sons;
Joseph Arellano of Ft Garland, Jacob Arellano of San
Luis, one daughter; Lorrie Quintana, two brothers;
Sammy (Emily) Arellano, both of Ventero, NM, two
sisters; Sinforosa Espinoza of Pueblo, Maxine (Fred)
Ortega of Questa, NM, three grandchildren; Christopher
(Jennifer) Gonzales, Anatniuq (Jose) Molina-Gonzales,
Carlos Arellano, and he was a father figure to many
nieces, nephews, cousins.
Salvador was preceded in death by his parents, and two
sisters Clorinda Montoya and Maria Vigil.
Viewing and Visitation was May 15, 2008 from 1-5 PM at
Weylen’s Funeral Home Chapel.
A rosary will be held today at 7:00 PM at the Sangre De
Cristo Parish.
The Funeral Mass was at 10:00 AM on Friday May 16,
2008 at the Sangre De Cristo Parish in San Luis with
burial to follow at San Pedro Cemetery.
